Re: Biturbo Spyder cam cover weeping??

Might be just that simple too!
Cut some out of a nice soft silicone rubber sheet.

Guess I need to look further. I have inspected my caps- the gaskets are in good
condition, and I have even repositioned (bent back) the two arms that secure the
cap to the neck in case there was some wear. Still, not 100% effective.

leaking. I'm suspecting that I may have a combination of light oil (10w40 right
now) and a bit of blowby- leakage of pressure from the valves, etc. through the
tops of the heads- causing a higher pressure than ordinarily. High pressure and
oil getting tossed about under the valve covers can cause an oil leak. Hope I'm
wrong, I am often.

Besides the fact the high quality and hot oil leaks through any tiny passage and that biturbo seals are not very well designed (as it's common on old Italian...

Given that the back of the heads vent through to the air cleaner I doubt blow-by is your problem. Maybe you just need a new rubber gasket under the cap. I...
